The wall of textiles was revealed for the first time at Amey Cespa recycling center at their Open Day

Made by artists Hilary Cox and Beverley Carpenter, the wall of textiles was made from clothes from across the easternregion. It is part of "Wear It Love It Share It", an initiative led by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Waste Partnership and Amey Cespa, Cambridgeshire County Council's waste management contractor.

The aims of this work is inspire people to reduce the amount of textiles that get sent to landfill in Cambridgeshire.  No textiles need go to landfill at all.  Charity shops and textile banks welcome all clothes, and even rags have value!? The textile wall, covering one part of a large industrial unit at the entrance to the site was created at the Amey Cespa recycling centre at Waterbeach.
